In May 2024, Golden Dragon Bus rose from fourth place to second place, selling 700 new energy buses, with a year-on-year increase of 125.81% and a month-on-month surge of 154.55%, accounting for a market share of 24.60%.
Higer Bus sold 345 new energy buses, with a year-on-year increase of 159.40% and a market share of 12.12%.
BYD ranked fourth with 239 new energy buses sold, accounting for a market share of 8.40%.
Xiamen Kinglong ranked fifth, selling 174 new energy buses, with a slight year-on-year increase of 0.58% and a month-on-month increase of 26.09%, accounting for a market share of 6.11%.
Among the top ten enterprises, seven enterprises, including Yutong Bus, Golden Dragon Bus, and Zhongtong Bus, achieved year-on-year growth. Among them, Geely Commercial Vehicle had the highest year-on-year increase, reaching 6000%, which was mainly due to its low original base.
Only three enterprises, Golden Dragon Bus, Zhongtong Bus, and Xiamen Kinglong, achieved month-on-month growth. Among them, Golden Dragon Bus had the highest month-on-month increase, reaching 154.55%.
In the ranking list, only Golden Dragon Bus, Zhongtong Bus, and Xiamen Kinglong achieved year-on-year and month-on-month "double growth", adding confidence to the development of the new energy bus industry.
