On June 9, Fujian Provincial Industrial and Information Technology
Department officially released the list of the first batch of Projects
of the Integrated Development of New Generation of Information
Technology and Manufacturing Industry. Golden Dragon’s 5G + Industrial
Internet Safety System Construction Project successfully made its way in
the list.
In 2020, Golden Dragon was designated by China’s Ministry of Industry
and Information Technology (MIIT) as a pilot enterprise for
Classification and Gradation of Industrial Internet Corporate Network
Security.
5G + Industrial Internet refers to further integration of industry
and new generation of telecommunication technologies represented by 5G.
It is expected to inject new dynamics to China’s economic development.
According to Golden Dragon, it takes ten months on average for the
bus maker to develop a new product. Thanks to the industrial internet,
it has successfully cut its research & development cycle by 20%. In
addition, it has built a Digital Joint Research & Development
Platform for new energy buses & coaches in order to develop more
customized products for customers. In 2019, the platform was selected as
one of the pilot projects for integrated development of industry and
internet by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology
(MIIT).
Golden Dragon Longhai New Energy Bus Production Base, an industrial
4.0 factory, is equipped with a host of the most advanced manufacturing
technologies in China, including spraying robots, laser welding, cathode
electrophoresis, EMC aerial automatic logistic systems, die stamping,
electromechanical assembly platforms, etc.
As a state-level hi-tech enterprise, Golden Dragon boasts a
state-level technological center, a state-level industrial design center
and a provincial-level key lab for new energy vehicles. Having
participated in a number of China’s key technological development
projects, it has made impressive achievements in autonomous driving
sector. In 2017, Golden Dragon’s first generation autonomous driving
buses started operation at China’s Internet-Connected Vehicles
(Shanghai) Demonstration Zone. Its second generation autonomous driving
bus Astar became the industry’s first to have duel-drive and
duel-control. In 2021, Golden Dragon Internet of Vehicle V2X Network
Technology Application Project successfully became China’s MIIT’s pilot
projects for internet of vehicle identity certification and safety.
So far, Golden Dragon has delivered 132 units autonomous driving
buses to its customers. Working in various scenarios, they have
accumulated a total mileage of over one million km.
